KR HR & Training Consultancy Ltd are based in Corsham, and are SVG Professional Members

I have worked in HR since 2000 covering senior roles in recruitment, training and general HR management in commercial, charity and education sectors.

A chartered member of CIPD and a fellow of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation Professionals, I now use my experience to help local organisations in and around Wiltshire to achieve their goals by getting the best out of their most important asset: their people.

Before I set up my own business, I looked at the HR consultancies in the marketplace and saw that many of them focused on people being problems rather than assets. To me, this negative approach to HR felt outdated and didn’t deliver real business results, aside from perhaps minimising tribunal pay-outs.

I reflected on when I became chartered with CIPD back in 2007. I was working in the HR team of a well-known global company and the operating board member who sponsored my charter application stated that:

“Kathryn has been responsible for the design and implementation of a number of initiatives that have improved not only the way people work, but also our ability as an organisation to take advantage of commercial opportunities.”

For me this sums up the positive impact that effective people management and development practices can have on a business. This is what I love about HR and is what I wanted to deliver for my clients.

So KR HR & Training Consultancy was created to give smaller businesses and charities access to the same strategic HR expertise as business leaders in larger organisations. Based in Corsham covering Wiltshire, Swindon and Bath areas, I work closely with my clients to understand their business goals and develop the right approach to recruiting, managing and developing their people.

And if you’re wondering what the R in KR HR stands for, my middle name is Rebecca!
